YOUTH BOARD HOLDS FIRST MEETING

IN SERVICE OF GOD. The Youth Board with their Advisers and invited guests at CPBC.

The first CBYFP Youth Board meeting was held on October 17, 2009 at the Board Room of the Convention of Philippine Baptist Churches, Inc. in Fajardo St., Jaro, Iloilo City.

The meeting started with the opening and welcome remarks given by Rev. Job Santiago, CPBC General Secretary. Important issues and matters concerning the CBYFP were then presented and discussed, including the organization's two-year development plan.

The development plan of the CBYFP presents the different goals, programs and activities comprising areas in leadership, stewardship, mission and evangelism, including the allotted budget needed for each activity and the proposed date of implementation.

Also present during the meeting were Pastor RD Celeste and Mr. Jec Dan Borlado. It was the first time for the Executive Committee (EXECOM) to officially meet with their appointed advisers and some members of the Youth Board. They hope that more officers would be able to attend during the next meeting to be held in Bacolod, Negros Occidental.

The Youth Board hopes for a promising year ahead with the implementation of the Organization's goals and activities in order to fulfill its Vision and Mission and to bring honor and glory to God above all.

July 20-24, 2009- selected CBYFP CPU Chapter members volunteered to be counselors during the weeklong Christ Emphasis Week at Central Philippine University.


August 19, 2009- the first Organizational Assembly of the Chapter was held at the Ancheta Chapel in CPU. There were approximately 50 Young People from the different Kasapulanans who attended.

Pastor Francis Neil Jalando-on gave a short message of what CBYFP is and how it started as an organization.

It was agreed during this assembly that the Chapter will hold its fellowship on the second and last Wednesday every month.

September 3-5, 2009- the Chapter joined the crowd control group during the Annual Foot Parade of CPU's 104th University Day Celebration. Ten Chapter members volunteered to represent CBYFP as marshals in this event.

Septermber 30, 2009- the second fellowship was held at MT 113, 4:00-5:30 with nearly 30 students who attended the gathering.

During this fellowship, the young people were challenged to do their part in building the Kingdom of God as members of not only CBYFP in general, but also of the CPU Chapter in particular.
